Dr Nitesh Nerlekar is an Australian-trained cardiologist with an interest in non-invasive cardiac imaging. He has vast experience in echocardiology, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI.
Dr Nerlekar completed his Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Melbourne’s Monash University, graduating with honours in 2007. After completing his basic physician training at Monash Health, he went on to specialise in cardiology at Monash Heart, before completing fellowships in advanced echocardiographic and cardiac CT interpretation.
Dr Nerlekar has a keen interest in cardiovascular research and his manuscripts have been published in several high-profile journals including The International Journal of Cardiology.
He recently completed a Masters of Public Health and is currently working on a PhD to assess the effect of structured weight loss in obese patients with cardiovascular disease.
